Sirte Oil, a subsidiary of Libya’s National Oil Corporation, has completed two horizontal wells in the Zelten and Wadi fields, utilizing advanced real-time reservoir mapping technology.
The newly completed wells are projected to increase production capacity by a combined 2,300 barrels per day (BPD), with Sirte Oil surpassing a daily production milestone of 100,000 BPD.
The first well, C355H-6, in the Zelten field, was drilled as part of the initial phase of the 2024 exceptional production increase plan. Evaluation tests indicate a production potential of over 1,200 BPD. Meanwhile, the second well, D27H-149, in the Wadi field, targets the M reservoir and is expected to produce approximately 1,100 BPD.
